Tom Buiocchi
Chief Executive Officer
Tom Buiocchi joined Drobo after serving as an Executive in Residence at Mohr Davidow Ventures. Prior to Mohr Davidow, Buiocchi held executive-level roles at Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. where he was instrumental in sales and marketing strategies that resulted in significant market share gains and revenue growth from 2003 to 2008. Prior to Brocade, Tom spent more than 20 years in a range of marketing and strategy management positions for leading technology companies, including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Apex Systems, and Rhapsody.
Tom holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Julian Terry
Co-Founder & Chief Architect
Julian Terry is a founder of Drobo Corporation and is one of the principal architects for its core technology. Prior to Drobo, Julian was Head of Research at Phoenix Corporation and managed all engineering development and support for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Julian was Head of Engineering at DIP, where he was responsible for the design of the world's first handheld PC compatible computer.
Julian holds an honors degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK.
Danielle Murcray
Chief Financial Officer
Danielle brings over 15 years of finance, accounting and operations experience to Drobo. Previously, Danielle served as Vice President, Corporate Controller at IronPort Systems where she was responsible for building and leading the accounting and sales operations functions, and was instrumental in the $830M acquisition by Cisco Systems in June 2007. Prior to IronPort, she was Corporate Controller at Packeteer, and Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Brio Software until it was acquired by Hyperion Solutions. Danielle started her career in the Silicon Valley office of Arthur Andersen.
Danielle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington.
Brian Lazara
VP, Engineering
Brian brings 26 years of industry experience to Drobo and has directed all facets of Drobo software development since joining the company in 2006, including embedded platforms, storage virtualization, applications, and testing for Drobo's business and professional storage products. Before joining Drobo, Brian held senior level positions at NVIDIA, iReady, and Wind River Systems. Prior to that he was a senior architect at Wind River Systems supporting new microprocessor architectures and technology initiatives related to server I/O and storage; and GE Aerospace creating advanced sonar simulators.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Math from SUNY Geneseo.
Philippe Cazaubon
Sr. Director, APAC Sales
Philippe is responsible for channel development and driving sales growth for Drobo's products in the Asia Pacific region. Philippe brings over 15 years of sales experience in the IT industry, and most recently served as Vice President of APAC for RateIntegration. Prior to RII, he was VP, APAC at Overland Storage where he grew the business from start up to a multi-million dollar operation. Philippe has also held senior sales management positions at HM Electronics and Frimeda.
Mario Blandini
Vice President, Chief Evangelist
Mario Blandini joined Drobo after serving in several worldwide marketing and sales leadership roles at Brocade Communications Systems from 2003 to 2010, a period of several acquisitions, new product and technology launches, and significant market share growth. Mario joined Brocade with the acquisition of Rhapsody Networks, and over 20+ years has served in technical roles both as an IT end user and vendor expert at Adaptec, ADP, EDS, and sanrise. Mario began his career serving 6 years as an information systems specialist in the United States Marine Corps.
Mario holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
Jeff Hoever
Vice President of Operations
Jeff brings over 20 years of operational and manufacturing experience to Drobo. Jeff has held senior management and director level positions at companies including Sling Media, Handspring, Solectron, Tapwave, and Lockheed Martin. Most notably Jeff managed global operations for Sling Media and helped grow the business which was acquired by EchoStar in 2007 for $380 million. In his years in operations Jeff estimates that he has shipped well over 1,000,000 products to customers, and managed supply chains totaling over $250 million.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Erik Pounds
VP, Product Management
Responsible for product strategy, roadmap, and technical product marketing, Erik sets the direction for products at Drobo. Prior to Drobo, Erik held key product management and marketing rolls at Brocade, Adaptec, and EMC Corporation in the areas of storage, networking, and data protection technologies.
Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
